Damn the Torpedoes starts with 60 vintage muscle cars at an undisclosed location in G.A. The finish line is in a bar in St. Marys. The race is inspired by the original outlaw Cannonball Run from the 70s.
The vintage spirit of the race lead me to wood-cut relief prints. Yee-Haw Industries artist Kevin Bradley cut a print of the legend Robert Johnson. I am particularly drawn to the bold layout and artifacts from the wood cut process, which I referenced throughout the making of the DTT poster.
